I think it was easy because I could identify the specific information.

My Refelection: It was pretty easy to answer the questions given in the spreadsheet because it told us the amount of people. I am proud of my pie graph because it looks right. My next step is to do more statics.

 To whom it may concern,
 Depressed,Sad, hurt, lonely, that is what Adeline is. Hello, to whoever is reading this, I just wanted to let you know that Adeline is a bright child with an open mind. She is very good at maths and writing. She loves to play ping pong. Also she has won a story writing contest. Adeline has been through very hard times and through those hard times she HAS given up but mostly she has stayed strong. She is very shy but is confident when she is speaking to someone she can trust. I think she really needs that. I think she needs someone to love and care for her just like her Aunt, Baba. So that she can be a bit more confident around people. As I already told you that Adeline is really good at math and writing but I think she needs a bit more improvement in sports . Maybe badminton, because she used to like to play Badminton with her friend Wu chun mei. Or maybe you could improve her ping pong playing skills so that she can get even better at it. Also you could get her to be more confident and teach her to speak up for herself because is not really that good at it. Thank you so much for reading my letter and I hope that you will look after Adeline more than her Family and appreciate her. My reflection:
It was a bit tricky to write a letter because I didn't really know what to write about.
I am proud of myself because I finally got my letter finished and also because I spelled sencierely right without asking anyone.
Next time I want to write a letter to Adeline's mean stepmother.

Swimming

First of all I love swimming so so much so I enjoy going swimming every single time and I never get bored of it.  I used to be so bad at swimming that I didn't even dare go underwater.  Now I am a lot better at swimming and I love going underwater and I also know how to swim and do some tricks.  If I ever do forget my togs I will kinda start crying (MAYBE).  Net time we go swimming my goal is to learn how to do a handstand in the water.

Speeches

My Reflection:
It was easy to write my speech but when I had to go in front of my whole class it was so scary I was crying from inside because I was nervous but somehow I got into the speech finals which was good but it was even scarier because I had to say it in front of all the year 5's, 6's and year 1's. I think it's scary because you are the only person standing while everyone is sitting down and staring at you.  Also there  were a few teachers which was even more nerve racking.

It was a bit hard for me because I was very confused on the last few questions because I didn't know how to solve it.
My next step is to become a bit better at doing the last questions.

I had to predict what the story was about.
It was a bit hard answering the questions because I hadn't read the story yet.
Next time I am going to read the story.

We were learning to identify the structure of the speech.
We had to write what we thought the introduction,body and conclusion needed/could to have.
It was easy because we had an example so we could relate to the example and get some ideas from there.  Next time we are going to edit our speeches with what we have learnt.

My Reflection:
It was kind of confusing because the story had like different pictures that didn't even relate to the text.
Next time I want to read a story like this one but a one that makes more sense.

My Reflection:
It was easy to write about bullies because I have seen and heard what a bully does.  Also in my old school my friend used to get bullied all the time.

It was hard because I was really confused about what explicit and implicit was.  My next step is to learn a bit more about what explicit and implicit is.

WALT: Write In Third Person

My Reflection:
It was hard to write in third person because I kept feeling like writing in first person.
I would give my writing a 8 out of 10 because I think I  did pretty well.
Next time I want to do more of third person writing.

It was easy to write all these things because room 21 had already brainstormed on a big piece of paper.  Also I got some ideas from the book while I was listening to the story.  

Multiplication Challenge

It was easy because I knew most of my time tables but at some parts I got mixed up with numbers and I had to do it again.  Also in some of the questions like 50 times 5 i didn't know what to do but I managed to do it.  Overall it was all good.

Birthday Celebrations

We were learning about different countries and how they celebrate their birthdays in their countries.
We had to research about lots of different things like where they celebrate it or how they celebrate it. It was easy I could use the internet to get any information that I needed.

My Reflection:

It was easy because the images and the blurb was there to help me 

predict what the story might be about.

If I could give myself a sore from 1 to 5 it would be 

4 because I needed a bit more detail.

Relate to character

My Reflection:

It was easy to do this because Michael is a way different person than me and he has a different personalty than me.  Next time I want to try and relate to a different person that is the same gender.

My Reflection:
It was easy because There were illustrations and words that could help me know or predict what the story could be about.Also it was hard to predict because I had already read this book so it was hard to forget the story and try and guess what happens in it.

My Reflection: It was easy because we could see from the people's faces how they were feeling and from that we could tell why they were feeling that. Also because we had one person watching and telling us when the scene finishes and one person who tells us what’s happening and one person who was writing.

It's Holiday Time!

My Reflection:
It was easy to find the population of the cities/towns/countries because I used the Internet and my friend yovela and I were helping each other.  It was also easy because I knew how to compare one number to another because I had learnt this when I was in year 3. For example: I had to write which number  was odd and which one was Even.

My Reflection:
It was easy to write the definition of these wordss because I used the dictionary to find the meanings out.
Next time I want to try and thing of the meaning myself.

My Reflection:
It was easy because all we had to do was read through the book and stop whenever we thought we didn't know the meaning of the word.  Then we would write what WE thought it meant and then we had to search what the meaning of the word was and then we had to write what it actually meant in the last column.

My Reflection:
It was easy because I know what similes and adjectives are and I know how to use them and when to useee them in my work or writing.

It was easy because we had learnt some of the sound in our other classes and some with Mr Park.
next time I want to do more letter sounds and think of more words that have the sound in them.

This graph shows us that people in room 21 mostly like fireflies and only a few people like praying mantis and Bees.This graph helps  us know that if for instance you are making a card for someone you know that they are likely to like fireflies, so you can draw fireflies on thier card.

Welcome To My Blog Of 2017

Kia Ora, My name is Abhilasha and welcome to my blog for 2017. I am in  Room 21 which is a year 6 classroom and my teacher is Mr Park.  In year 6 this year I am most excited for camp and being a councillor because I have never ever in my whole entire life been a councillor or gone to camp.  My learning goal this year is to learn lots of new things.  My hobby is learning, playing games and swimming.  I hope you enjoy looking at all the work I will be doing this year.
