Perimeter

We had to answer some questions like: The total perimeter of the shape or like word problems.
At the end we had to put some pictures of some things that we could measure.
My Reflection:
My next step is to learn more about perimeters.
I am most proud of my last slide that I did it is also my favorite slide.

Measurement Scavenger Hunt

We were given a slideshow with different measurements and we had to go and find some things that were the same measurement.
My Reflection:
It was easy to find the things for our measurements.
The most challenging thing was when we had to choose the last measurement which was 150cm.

Toitoi

We had to choose a story and do the tasks for the story that we were given you can see the tasks in the following slide above.  My favorite parts were the create and illustrate bits.
My Reflection:
It was easy to do the story about my imaginary pet because I've always wanted a pet like that I hope one day I actually do get a pet like that but till then I am happy without a pet.
I am most proud of my drawings that I have done with my friend.

Tired Words

We were learning about tired words we had to create a slideshow which had a word we used in one of our stories for example: She was really cute.  we had to change the word cute into a more interesting word which is almost the same as cute like adorable or sweet. Finally we had to choose some of the words on our lists and turn it into a tagul.
My Reflection:
It was easy to do the list of different words because I used the app called Thesaurus.com.

Simple Machines

In my class we were learning about simple machines we had to do the slideshow so that we could get a good understanding of what simple machines were.  My favorite part was when we got to create our own machine using the simple machines.
My Reflection:
It was easy to do the slideshow about the simple machines because I had already learned a few things about them already.
The most challenging thing was when you had to create your own machine using the simple machines.

100 Word Challenge

I had to write a story using only hundred words.  In this slide there are two stories.



My reflection:
It was a bit hard to write exactly hundred words.  I had to add words and take away words.
I am most proud of all the work I have done.

Kites

I had to write what I knew about the kite that I was writing about.  I had to write who and when the kite was made.

My Reflection:
It was hard to find out who made the kite but eventually I knew who made it.
I am most proud of all the research I did.

Fractions Of A Whole

I had to find fraction of a whole,for example: the picture below

IT was easy to do all the slides because at first I was really confused but then Miss Fisher told me what to do and I got the hang of it.

I am most proud of my self for doing rest of the slides without any help.

Nonfiction Texts

I had to write the differences between fiction and non-fiction.


My Reflection:
It was easy to find the reasons because I had two books.  Where, one was fiction and the other non-fiction.
I am most proud of the non-fiction colloum.

Simple Sentences

My Reflection:

It was easy to find the statements and Exclamations because there were lots in the book me and my group were using.

My next step is to learn more about simple sentences. 

Collaborative Maths

We were learning about fractions.  We had some problems to do that were about fractions.  We had to show different ways to solve them.




I think this was a little bit hard but as I kept doing it I got the idea of how to do it.
I need to improve on working with higher fractions.

My Birthday

My Reflection:

It was easy to add a lot of details because I had so so much to write about my B-day.  I was learning about simple sentences.

My  Next step is to use more similes. 

Friction

We were learning about Friction.
My Reflection:
I am most proud of my Friction slideshow because I have learnt a lot about Friction.
My next step is to learn more about Friction.

The Amusement Park

 I was learning to make an arguments and reasons.

My Reflection:
It was easy to think of why the Amusement park is better then the beach because I have been to an big and fun Amusement park before.
Next time I would like to try another  topic.

Fairy Tale Hot Seat

Fairy Tale Hot Seat is where you choose a story and you do a interview of the characters.  Me and my best friend Vikasni did a interview of the wolf.  I was the wolf and Vikasni was the interviewer.

My Reflection:

I am really proud of the heap of work we have done.

Next time I would like to try a different story.

Matariki Research

What we did:
We had to write if Matariki should or shouldn't be a public holiday.  We had to make a popplet about why or why not we want Matariki should or shouldn't be a public holiday.  I was working with my classmate Mila.  At the end we had to write a report plan about why we think Matariki should be a public holiday.


My Reflection:

It was easy to find information about Matariki because we used some websites to help us.
We had to write if Matariki should or shouldn't be a public holiday.
My next step is to learn more about Matariki.

Place Value Partitioning

My Reflection:

It was easy to do the video because I had learnt lots about PVP (place value partitioning.)My next step is to learn a new strategy. 

The Running Man

At school we had to write a 100 word challenge where you have to make up a story with the prompt that your teacher gives you but you have to remember to use 100 words only.  That's why it's called the hundred word challenge.

My Reflection:

It was easy to think of the story because the man was running and a few days ago there was this video released called the running man challenge so that's why I named it that. I had to write what the man could hear , smell and feel.  I also had to write what the dog was thinking about.Now I plan to do a better one with more interesting words or sentences like a simile. "The dog was running as fast as a racing car".

My Reflection:

It was easy to write the facts and the other things about 'Mr Grim' because I had the book close to me so whenever I needed any help I would just check the book. 

  My next step is to do better and try much more harder next time. 

 I am most proud of my facts and actions because I had lots of good ideas.

 I think it was hard to do the ´Getting inside the characters head because I couldn't think of more ideas.

My Reflection:

I was easy to write what the words mean because I was allowed to use the dictionary.  There were some words that I knew what they meant and I didn't have to use the dictionary.  It was hard to think of 'why' it happens but then I got the help from the book and found out.
